As part of its drive to kick-start its plans of organizing a National Sports Awards ceremony on December 26 2007, the Sport Journalists Association and Football Digest will stage the official launch of the event tomorrow Tuesday, 27 November at the Kairaba Beach Hotel.

Namory Trawally, president of the Sport Journalists Association of The Gambia, said the event would be launched by the Secretary of State For Information and Technology, Mrs Nenneh Macdouall- Gaye.

He pointed that the Secretary of State for Youth and Sports Mass Axi Gye; the Secretary of State for Interior Ousman Sonko; and other important dignitaries are also expected to grace the occasion with their presence.
“The launch will unveil the main sponsor of the National Sport Award,” he said.
