Alleged Fowl Poacher Freed

Tuesday, February 12, 2008

One Lamin Drammeh was sometime last week acquitted and discharged of a charge of stealing fowls.

Lamin had spent almost four months in custody following his failure to produce a surety and, as such, he was acquitted and discharged but was warned sternly to be of good behaviour.

According to court records, the accused was arrested in September of 2007 for stealing three fowls in Lamin village but had denied responsibility.
