One Mustapha Gaye, 19, of Latrikunda Sabiji, was recently arrested by the police for allegedly stabbing one Ansumana Dampha, alias Jung, 25, a native of Pakalinding, on Monday, 10th December 2007, causing him to bleed to death.

The late Mr. Dampha was reportedly stabbed on the cheek with a broken bottle.

Jung was thereafter rushed to the hospital, where he breathed his last the following day.

Commenting on the incident the police revealed that Mustapha Gaye is currently in police custody, charged with murder and is expected to appear in court today, 13th December.

Meanwhile the deceased was laid to rest yesterday in his native town of Pakalinding in the Lower River Region.
