New Castle United beat Armanti FC 2-1 to clinch the Pirang super title over the weekend.

The keenly-contested final cleared the pavement for the commencement of the nawettan proper that would involve 12 teams within the Kombo North village, with Africell taking the centre stage as key collaborators.

In the nawettan proper, which commenced on Tuesday, August 14, Manchester drew 1-1 with Rappim FC, while Sunshine edge past AA & CO FC with a 2-1 victory the following day.
 
On Thursday, Liverpool also joined the winners list after 2-0 win over the famous Bob Marley FC.
