Two would be Gambian internationals have just come forward by making themselves available for the scorpions. Babacarr Ndiaye of German 2nd second side Spvgg Unterhaching and Elhadji Sanyang formerly French 2nd division side Bastia.

The duo has decided to join the scorpions in their next friendly matches in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to be assessed by the coach.

Elhadji Sanyang last played for Bastia when he suffered an injury to the knee that kept him out for while. He felt out with the club on the mode of treatment to the knee and after taking care of himself, he demanded his transfer and moved on. He was supposed to sign for Weregem sometime last week but nothing has surfaced yet.

Another new face is Babacarr Ndiaye of German 2nd Division side Unterhaching. This would be Gambian international was in action last night when table toppers Karlsruhe paid them a visit, an encounter they lost by a lone goal.

At first Babacarr’s coach Haribert Dautinger was reluctant when approached about the player’s availability with the uncertainty surrounding Tony Hey. But the German connection played well in securing his services for the scorpions.

Babacarr started his career in Senegal with US Rail, Thies before moving to Germany. He later joined FC Wehr and went on to play for Union Solingen, Wuppertaler, Hannover 96, FC St. Pauli and LR Ahlen. Unterhaching are lying 14th with 14 points in the 18 team German second division.

If they need to survive the relegation dogfight, Babacarr and his team may need to start firing all their cylinders.
