According to a press release signed by the Vice Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission, five top officials of the electoral body on Tuesday, 10th April, left for Lagos, Nigeria, “as part of the ECOWAS delegation led by Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara.”
The IEC delegation includes the Chairman, Alhagie Mustapha L. Carayol, who is accompanied by Sambujang Njie, Director of Operations, Joseph Colley, Director of Communication, Seedy Jobe and Lamin Jatta Regional Officers.
The release added that “the team would be in Nigeria from the 10th –25th April 2007 with the primary responsibility of observing the Governorship, Legislative and Presidential Elections.”
