Two topflight Gambian musicians, Freaky Joe and Pa Omar Jack alongside an internationally - acclaimed music impresario, DJ Lamin Cham, have recently returned home after representing The Gambia at a major carnival held in London, the UK.
The much-hyped Carnival organised by Yaram Arts under the co-ordination of Gambia’s premier showbiz promoter, Njok Malick Jeng, brought together under one roof thousands of Diasporean Gambians and other nationals domiciling in the UK.
Speaking to this paper, Pa Malick Secka, the Representative of Yaram Arts in The Gambia said that the trio made triumphant performances at the London Carnival, adding that they represented The Gambia in the best ambassadorial guise at the Carnival.
He went on to pat them each on the back for what he described as a marvellous job, noting that other artistes should emulate their shinning examples.
