Four employees of the country’s only cement factory, Gacem, were yesterday arraigned before a magistrates’ court on suspicion of stealing 46 bags of cement from their employer.
Three other people were also charged in a similar development but this time around for being found in possession of stolen items knowing fully well that the items were stolen.
Joseph Mendy, Alhagie Fofana, Samba Jallow and Musa Camara were charged with an alleged crime of stealing 46 bags of cement from Gacem whilst their suspected collaborators; Samba Nyang, Sallah Ceesay and Hamidou Muhammed were charged with the alleged offence of being found in possession of the stolen bags of cement.
They are expected back in court on 27 September 2007, following their plea of not guilty to the charges preferred against them.
