Ebrima Manneh has won the Coach of the Year of the 2007 National Sports Journalist Award held at the Kairaba Beach Hotel on 26 December 2007. He was short-listed alongside Peter Bonu Johnson and Alhagie Sarr. EDUCATION Hailed from Basse in the Upper River Region. He attended Koba Kunda Primary School and Nusrat High School. Activities in School Athletics: Sprinter 100 and 200m, High Jump, and Long Jump. He was captain of the intermediate and senior football teams at Nusrat High School. Gained recognition after finishing school through Nawettan competitions before joining Hawks F C He was: School boy International in 1987 Under 23 National Team player National Team captain 1994 Played for Walsall FC and Hackney General London, England Coaching Career This agile and outspoken gentleman was Head Coach of Canon FC in the Serekunda East Zone Head Coach KMC Selection Nayconf, BJL Head Coach KMC Under 17 Selection Former Director of the Cherno Samba Academy of Football. Won many League and FA trophies with Hawks FC Leading goal scorer GFA League 93/94 Seasons Silver wear winner in the Ecowas Tourney in Nigeria ACHIEVEMENTS AS A COACH Won many league and knock-out titles with many Nawettan teams as a coach and a player. Won two out of three Zonal Finals. Promoted Samger to the Second Division and eventually to the First Division GFA League.
