The Gambia Ports Authority will meet Es Bingerville of Ivory Coast in the 5th edition of the Caf Confederation championship cup to be played tomorrow Saturday 16th February 2008 at The Independence Stadium in Bakau.
Ahead of the match, the Ivorian team arrived in Banjul Wednesday evening.
The match officials, who are currently in town, include the match commissioner from Liberia and the Referee and his assistants from Guinea.
Gambia Ports Authority FC will travel to Abidjan to play the return leg on the weekend of February 29th, March 1st-2nd.
The winner of both ties will meet Linguere of Senegal.
However, Forty-four teams will take part in the 2008 Confederation Cup and the eight third round winners will progress to the group stage of Africa’s second-tier club competition.
Around the continent, teams will take on their opponents in the first leg this weekend.
