Legal Battle Over Jewelry Worth D86,000

D86,000 worth of jewelry is currently a subject of an intense legal battle at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court. One Jean Able Thomas has brought a lawsuit against one Ebrima Suwaneh for recovery of D86,000. Jean is now resorting to legal possibilities to recover the D86,000 from Suwaneh as the latter allegedly failed to pay the former the money owed following a transaction involving jewelry. “ I gave D86,000 worth of jewelry to Suwaneh to sell them for me. However, Suwaneh did not pay me the money or return the stones to me despite several attempts to that effect on my part,” added Jean. The case continues on February 11. Author: By Mariama Joof
