Needy Trust Education Fund (NTEF), a charity based in the UK, recently provided assistance to 21 students from Sukutu and Pakalinding Upper Basic School in Lower River Region.

Speaking at the ceremony held at Sukutu Upper Basic School, Tijan Bah, a representative from the Department of State for Basic Education, said the assistance of students in the country is geared towards promoting and developing education in The Gambia.

He used the occasion to call on other donors and philanthropist NGO’s to come on board and support Gambian students.

For his part, the Principal of Sukuta Upper Basic School, Mr. Saja Sammeh, commended NTEF for their support for the school.

He urged students to maintain discipline and tolerance and always take their education seriously. He assured the donors that the gesture will be put to good use by the students.
