Holisingore Little School and Gambia Vena in Denmark on Monday January 28 2008, donated sporting gear to Kuntaur Upper Basic School in Niani District in the northern part of the Central River Region of The Gambia.

The donated items included Footballs, Jerseys and other sporting materials.
 
Mr. Per Nygaarel head of the Danish delegation, in presenting the materials to the school, said the items came from the parents and students contributions and that they raised the funds to buy them. He urged the beneficiaries to make best use of them.

Mr. Demba Sanyang, Physical Education teacher of the school, commended the donors for the kind gesture adding that the gifts could not have come at a better time.

He said,” this time of the year, all the schools are preparing for inter schools sports competitions and the items will be useful for that purpose”.
