The FA Cup Champions and Gambia’s sole representative in this year’s continental club competition, Gambia Ports Authority, will be hoping to bounce back from their Saturday’s Confederation Cup defeat by ES Bengerville, when they lock horns with the League Champions, Real de Banjul, in the Super Cup final tomorrow at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.
The mouth-watering encounter which has been dubbed by many pundits as a typical Banjul derby clash, will also see coach Ebrima Cham-Joof lead his Ports Authority side against a former club.
The former Division Two coach replaced coach Alagie Sarr as GPA coach during break. The inspirational young coach went ahead to lose his debut match in charge of Ports Authority and he will hope to make a mockery of those who are so quick to write him off as a wrong candidate for the 2006 League Champions when he guides the Ferry Boys to yet another vital cracker tomorrow.
